Specific Terms

1. To be eligible for the Promotion, you must be a current Betfair customer.

2. Residents of Victoria and South Australia are not eligible to participate in the Promotion and receive the refund.

3. To be eligible for the Promotion, you must enter a valid promotional code as detailed when registering with Betfair.

4. The Promotion only applies to the customer’s first placed bet on Betfair’s betting exchange (Qualifying Bet).

5. The customer must place their Qualifying Bet within 7 days of opening their account to be eligible for the Promotion.

6. Only matched bets on the Betfair exchange will qualify for this Promotion. Bets placed on any other Betfair product, including but not limited to the Tote or Aus Multis, will not qualify for this Promotion.

7. If your Qualifying Bet is unsuccessful, Betfair  will refund the value of that bet up to $100.

8. In the event that your Qualifying Bet is successful there will be no refund payable under this Promotion.

9. Where your Qualifying Bet is a “lay” bet, Betfair will refund your liability up to a maximum of $100.

10. Unmatched, cancelled, lapsed or voided bets are not eligible for this Promotion.

11. This Promotion is not available in conjunction with any other offer.

12. Betfair reserves the right to cease the Promotion at any time.

Betfair will use reasonable endeavours to refund the amount within five working days.

Standard Terms:

1. You must be aged 18 years or over to be a Betfair customer and participate in the Promotion.

2. You must be a current customer of Betfair to be eligible for the Promotion.

3. None of the employees, ex-employees, nor any family members of employees or ex-employees, of Betfair and its affiliate companies their agents or those of their respective group companies may take part in the Promotion.

4. By entering the promotion code for this Promotion you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any specific terms and conditions and applicable instructions relating to the Promotion.

5. Betfair reserves the right to exclude any entrant from the Promotion and from use of the Betfair website if Betfair believes that an entrant has tried to enter by using more than one user name or is otherwise engaging in any fraudulent or illegal activity (including participation that would be in breach of the law in your local jurisdiction), whether or not that entrant would or might have won any prize but for such activity.

6. The refund is not transferable or exchangeable other than in the sole discretion of Betfair.

7. Betfair in its sole discretion reserves the right to withdraw or vary these Terms and Conditions and/or any offer made in connection with them in order to comply with the decision of any relevant judicial or regulatory body and shall not be held liable to any entrant for so doing.

8. The decision of Betfair in respect of any matter concerning or related to the Promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. In the event of a breach of these terms and conditions Betfair reserves the right to take such action as it deems appropriate in its absolute discretion.

10. Betfair accepts no responsibility whatsoever for system or connection problems that might affect any end user during the Promotion.

11. Betfair and its affiliates and subsidiaries, or any of their employees, officers or directors shall not be liable for any damages howsoever arising as a result of a participant's participation in the Promotion or any such modification, alteration, discontinuance or termination of the Promotion, and any such liability shall be borne solely and exclusively by the participant or winner, as the case may be.

12. You agree that these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tasmania and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Tasmania.

13. Any use of the registered trade mark BETFAIR® and/or the BETFAIR LOGO is with the consent of the trade mark owner The Sporting Exchange Limited.
